Theatre Restoration Update – July 2025
Happy July, Auburn! Fireworks aren't the only thing lighting up this month—the Theatre Restoration is sparking real progress, and we’ve got updates to share!
Construction Marches On
With the majority of the demolition phase in our rearview mirror (good riddance, concrete chaos!), the focus has shifted to preparing for infrastructure upgrades. Our architect, 19.6; structural engineer, Point 2; and Theatre DNA, our design specialists, are creating the Design Development Documents, which lay the groundwork for Construction Drawings. It’s not always glamorous work, but it’s the magic beneath the surface that will keep the Theatre shining for decades to come.
Feasibility Report: Check!
We’re excited to share that the feasibility report is complete and has provided a clear, informed path forward for our capital campaign. Thank you to everyone who participated in interviews and planning conversations. Your voice is shaping the future of our beloved Theatre.
Cocktails & Cinema: A Night to Remember
Moonlight on the Bayou was a huge success! Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, sponsored, or danced the night away with us. Cajun cuisine, cool cocktails, and the electric energy of Tom Rigney and Flambeau made for a truly unforgettable evening. Shoutout to our dazzling STAC performers—you wowed us all! Mark your calendars now for next year’s soiree: June 6, 2026.
Gratitude, Always
To our amazing patrons, hardworking volunteers, and steadfast supporters: we’re so lucky to have you by our side. You’re the heart of this project, and your continued encouragement keeps our spirits high.
Onward!
We’re building momentum this summer. Stay tuned for more updates, and don’t forget to wave at us when you pass by 985 Lincoln Way—just maybe wear a hard hat, metaphorically speaking.
Many Thanks to our generous community partners for hosting events while the Theatre is under reconstruction
