Cinema at the State Presents
Tora! Tora! Tora!
Sponsored by Joel & Raenel Toste
One of the last old Hollywood blockbusters, the thrilling Tora! Tora! Tora! was conceived of by Twentieth Century Fox as “the most spectacular film ever made.” This dramatic retelling – by both the American and Japanese sides - of the infamous bombing of Pearl Harbor details the days leading up to that tragic moment in American history.
As United States and Japanese relations are strained over the U.S. embargo of raw materials, Air Staff Officer Minoru Genda plans the preemptive strike against the United States. Although American intelligence agencies intercept Japanese communications hinting at the attack, they are unwilling to believe such a strike could ever occur on U.S. soil.
Running time: 2h 24m, 15 minute intermission
