On Stage from the State Presents

Jack Cimo

Jack studied classical guitar at USC’s Thornton School of Music and with the legendary Pepe Romero. He recently completed a Master’s course in Music Performance and Interpretation with Lorenzo Micheli and Jérémy Jouve in Palermo, Italy.

“I have heard many fine guitarists in concert which I have found to be beautiful. This was beyond beautiful. One was totally unaware of Cimo’s stellar technique because his music cut immediately to the soul. I was breathless.” (John Howard, DMA)

In 2022 Jack directed and played in the prestigious California International Guitar Festival. He recently toured in the US and Europe, playing concerts in Italy, France, and Switzerland. He recently performed as a soloist with the Santa Maria Philharmonic and looks forward to performing throughout the US and in Mexico and Central America this season.

He has released multiple albums, including Jack Cimo Plays Bach, Bogdanovic, Walton, and Arnold and Duo Sogno. In 2022, he commissioned Jordan Nelson to write I Dreamt I was Underwater, which combines live guitar with electronics and previously recorded sound.

Jack believes in using his talent to uplift and help those in need and has done many volunteer performances at hospitals and for the homeless, in addition to a benefit concert for the community of Paradise, CA.
